Russell
Ramsey joined Ramsey & Murray in September, 1969 becoming a partner 5
years later. He is a Certified Mediator by the Attorney-Mediators
Institute. His practice includes:

Defending individuals, commercial, industrial
and household product manufacturers, retailers and a variety of
corporations both insured and self-insured against personal injury
and product liability claims including wrongful death, work related
or on the job injuries, slip and fall, employment related or on the
job injuries.

Mr. Ramsey also participates in construction
litigation and defends general contractors and subcontractors from
suits alleging faulty workmanship, negligence, breach of contract,
breach of warranty, misrepresentation, nuisance, tort liability,
deceptive trade practices, contribution and indemnity ranging from
industrial, commercial and residential construction.

Representation of numerous insurance companies
pertaining to complex and novel insurance coverage issues, under
commercial general liability policies, automobile policies, excess
and umbrella coverage, workers compensation coverage, and defense of
insurers in first party claims, owner controlled insurance program
issues, subrogation claims, third party claims and defense of property, casualty and subrogation issues.

Mr. Ramsey is a trained mediator who completed the
Attorney Mediator Institute Mediation training in 1997. He has
completed numerous mediations with a success ratio over 90%.
He has mediated all types of disputes including those in the areas
in which he continues to practice.

Participates in the Multi-District Litigation (MDL)
court hearings, and continues to represent companies involved in the
asbestos litigation. Mr. Ramsey has been
involved in the asbestos litigation for a long period of time
representing clients in both Texas and aiding in their defense in
other jurisdictions. Mr. Ramsey has served as defense liaison
counsel negotiating master forms of discovery in both Galveston and
Brazoria Counties.

Mr. Ramsey also has been involved in defending
environmental law claims and toxic tort claims other than asbestos
and silicosis.
